Robert S Cooper  has had a very experienced career as a traditional signwriter,Pub sign artist, motorcycle painter.
I was born in Boston, Lincolnshire 1953 and lived beside the river Witham, I suppose this is where my love for painting boats came from, along with my father having a motor cycle business. My uncle (a signwriter) was my mentor as he taught me to draw boats and planes from a very young age, and I loved playing on my dad's Bikes he was an I.O.M T.T. Racer and sponsor.
I was apprenticed as a decorator/signwriter and went on to live in Lincoln where I established my own Sign business working for breweries and shop fitters, such as Watneys, John Smiths, Bass, Courage, Early learning centre.
In 1990 I went back to college and studied fine art and went on to teach A Level before returning to work (after bringing my children up) this time painting motorbikes i.e.: Cadburys Boot Team. I have again returned to my roots to paint pictures encouraged by my wife Jean "even though she don't like me painting boys' toys" so here we are.
