Founder of the British Pop Art Movement, Sir Eduardo Paolozzi, born in Leith, near Edinburgh of Italian Parents, died to aged 81.

 

Artist and sculptor, famous for his fascination with the link between humans and machinery, he formed the Pop Art movement in Britain, taking images he found in American magazines and turning them into Art.

 

He was knighted in 1988 for his contribution to British Art.
